The Impact of Parents on a Son

As my mother and father are nearing their 50th wedding anniversary, I decided to write about my parents’ impact on my life. There is no relationship outside of marriage as special as the one between a parent and child. The upbringing a child receives not only shapes the rest of their life, but the lives of every one that child touches as well. It’s a ripple effect and huge responsibility for parents.

Last Powder Days of the Season?

Before too much time had passed, I needed to make a quick post documenting one of my best ski weekends this season. I was able to go to two resorts at the end of the first week of March. On Friday, I hit up the Canyons, and then I spent all day Saturday up at Solitude! Needless to say, I had some very sore legs for a few days afterwards, but man was it worth it!

Open Letter to the Workforce

(This soapbox rant comes as a result to some interesting feedback I received at work yesterday. Apparently, a couple of people had complained to the boss of my boss about the hours I keep and background entertainment I run on my machine. Whereas some people like to listen to music, sports radio, or some other form of entertainment in the background while they work, I prefer to run live streams of professional gamersā€”I imagine there are those that may misinterpret my background media as me playing games, but still. I also tend to work from home in the mornings to better fit with my work/life balance, and then I stay later than the average bear at the office when I come in. I was somewhat surprised that this came up, and thus I felt compelled to write this response. Hopefully, this will serve to benefit the understanding of thoseĀ complainants as well as any other “normal” people in the workforce)
